Tiago Correia is the new Coordinator of the Collaborating Centre
Tiago Correia is an Associate Professor specialising in health policies and development at the Global Public Health Unit of the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine - NOVA University Lisbon (IHMT-NOVA). He has a PhD in Sociology (specialising in health) from Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and has done two post-doctoral studies in Public Health (University of Montreal and McGill University).
He is coordinator of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Health Workforce Policy and Planning, vice-president of the Health Workforce Research section of the European Public Health Association and editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Health Planning and Management. He represents IHMT-NOVA at the International Association of National Public Health Institutes (IANPHI), the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER) and the European Health Management Association (EHMA).
